Orders
Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract forms when we send you a dispatch confirmation, not when you receive the order confirmation.
We may decline or cancel an order if the item is unavailable, if there's a pricing or description error, if we can't authorise payment, or if we suspect fraud. If we cancel after you've paid, you get a full refund.
Prices
All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP).
We are not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is charged on our prices.
Delivery costs are shown at checkout before you pay. We try hard to price correctly, but if an item is listed at an obviously wrong price we'll contact you before dispatch and you can confirm at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
Product descriptions
We describe our products as accurately as we can, including dimensions and materials. Colours may vary slightly between your screen and the object.
Our products are decorative items intended for adults. They are not toys and are not intended for children under 14. Please follow any safety information on the product page and packaging — particularly for lighting, items containing magnets, and anything involving a flame.
Delivery
See our Delivery page. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
Returns
See our Returns & Refunds Policy, which sets out your statutory rights in full, including your 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Intellectual property
All content on this site — text, product photography, designs, our name and logo — belongs to us or our licensors. Please don't copy it for commercial use without asking.
If you believe anything on this site infringes your intellectual property, contact hello@swampgas.co.uk and we'll investigate promptly.
Acceptable use
Don't use this site unlawfully, don't try to break it, and don't scrape it.
Our liability
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law says can't be limited — including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Subject to that, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it.
Events outside our control
We're not liable for delays or failures caused by things genuinely beyond our control — extreme weather, strikes, customs action, carrier failure, or the collapse of civil order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and the courts of Northern Ireland have jurisdiction. If you live in England, Wales or Scotland, you can also bring proceedings there.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force when you order is the version that applies to your order.
